Saturday's Ligue 1 predictions including PSG vs. Troyes

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including PSG vs. Troyes.

Having sealed a place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League in emphatic fashion in midweek, Paris Saint-Germain resume Ligue 1 duties on Saturday afternoon as Troyes visit the Parc des Princes.

Les Parisiens thumped Maccabi Haifa 7-2 in Europe in midweek, while ESTAC took advantage of some error-strewn Lorient defending to draw 2-2 with the surprise package last week.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 Troyes

One must give credit where credit is due to Troyes after holding Lorient to just a point last weekend, but both of their goals came from defensive errors, and PSG should not give much change away in that regard.

A back five from the visitors could serve to frustrate the champions a tad, but the Messi, Mbappe and Neymar trident should be up to their old tricks to steer PSG to a routine win on home soil.

Strasbourg vs. Marseille (Saturday, 8.00pm)

For the 100th time in their history, Strasbourg and Marseille will face each other in a Ligue 1 encounter on Saturday at Stade de la Meinau.

Les Coureurs have points in two of their last three league fixtures, drawing Toulouse 2-2 last weekend, while Marseille have lost three consecutive games in all competitions, falling 2-1 versus Eintracht Frankfurt this week in the Champions League.

We say: Strasbourg 0-2 Marseille

Neither side have lived up to expectations of late, but Strasbourg look lost in the attacking third without Ajorque, while Marseille have been more disciplined and compact defensively away from home, and their attacking depth is much greater than their Alsatian counterparts.
