Watford have won the race to sign Arsenal defender Calum Chambers on loan, according to a report.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is reportedly close to joining Watford on loan.

The 21-year-old moved to the Emirates from Southampton last summer, but has largely struggled to make an impression in North London and featured on only 12 occasions during the 2015-16 campaign.

At the end of last month, it was reported that Arsenal would allow the defender to leave on a season-long loan this summer and according to the Daily Mail, Watford have won the race.

Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Swansea City and former club Southampton have also been credited with an interest in the England Under-21 international.
