Manchester United are preparing a world record bid for Real Madrid and Wales forward Gareth Bale, according to reports.

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale and would break the world transfer record to sign him, according to reports.

The 26-year-old is arguably one of the finest British players of his generation, winning two Champions League trophies and a Copa del Rey at the Bernabeu.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Jose Mourinho is ready to offer Real £94m, £9m more than the world-record fee the La Liga giants paid Tottenham Hotspur for Bale in 2013.

Bale is currently in France preparing to lead Wales out at Euro 2016, the Dragons' first international tournament for 58 years.
