Former Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau has reportedly agreed to become president and head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 58-year-old has had a year off since being fired by the Bulls at the end of last season but looks set to return with the Wolves in 2016-17.
According to The Vertical, Thibodeau is finalising a five-year contract with Minnesota and will be joined there by Scott Layden, current assistant general manager of the San Antonio Spurs, as general manager.
The Timberwolves have been without a head coach since relieving Sam Mitchell of his duties last week.
Mitchell had been in charge since the death of Flip Saunders last October.
