A report claims that Spanish playmaker Sergi Canos may leave Liverpool this summer if he cannot agree a new contract at Anfield.

Sergi Canos and Liverpool have reportedly reached a standoff in their contract negotiations.

Having only just returned from a loan stint with Brentford, the Spanish teenager went on to make his senior debut for the Merseysiders during Sunday's 1-1 draw away at West Bromwich Albion.

However, despite getting some first-team exposure, the 19-year-old could be on the move this summer, according to The Independent.

Canos has just 12 months left to run on his current deal at Anfield and is believed to have been offered an extension worth £3,000 a week - a figure that falls way below his expectations.

Brentford are said to be keen to sign the attacking midfielder on a permanent deal, while Reading, Fulham and Rangers have also been credited with an interest.
