Rangers club captain Lee Wallace has signed a new contract that will keep him at Ibrox until May 2019.

The left-back scored nine goals last season in 50 appearances for the club as they were promoted from the Championship and has now featured in a light blue shirt in over 200 games, scoring 21 times.

Wallace joined the club in July 2011 from Hearts and he extended his contract at Gers for five years in September 2012, committing his future to the outfit despite their drop to the fourth tier of Scottish football.

The 28-year-old was one of three players who featured in all games for the Gers last season as they clinched promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
