Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ryan Mason has been handed an injury boost over Clement Lenglet ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The on-loan Barcelona centre-back came off with a shoulder concern in the dying embers of last weekend's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, but he is believed to have only sustained a minor concern.

As a result, Lenglet should be given the green light to continue in the backline this weekend, but Hugo Lloris (hip), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) are all out for the rest of the campaign.

Fraser Forster will no doubt continue in goal for the stricken Lloris, while Lenglet's rapid recovery should allow the Frenchman to partner Cristian Romero in the heart of defence, consigning Eric Dier to the bench in the process.

Having starred upon his quicker-than-expected recovery from knee surgery, Emerson Royal should continue on the right-hand side - either as a full-back or third centre-back - as Ben Davies keeps Ivan Perisic at bay on the left.

Pedro Porro is therefore poised to continue in a more advanced position alongside Son Heung-min, while Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg man the midfield as ever.

Fresh from scoring his 209th Premier League goal to overtake Wayne Rooney into second place in the all-time charts, Harry Kane will endeavour to score in a 24th separate match this season - equalling Mohamed Salah's record from 2017-18 - as Richarlison continues alongside him in an unchanged setup.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Forster; Emerson, Romero, Lenglet, Davies; Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Son; Richarlison, Kane
