Manchester City are reportedly showing more interest in signing Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish than long-term admirers Manchester United.

Manchester City are reportedly ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.

Having helped keep his boyhood club in the Premier League, Grealish is being heavily linked with a transfer to a bigger club.

Despite their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, United have been frequently linked with an approach for the 24-year-old.

However, according to The Athletic, City have shown more interest in Grealish than their fierce rivals.

Although no deal is close to completion, it is suggested that Pep Guardiola is strongly considering a move for the player before the end of the summer window.

Villa are said to be looking for well in excess of £50m for their most prized asset.
