Charlie Mulgrew claims that his future at Celtic is still up in the air as he waits to be offered a new deal.

Celtic's Charlie Mulgrew has expressed his frustration at not yet having received a new contract offer from the club.

The 30-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, joined the Hoops for a second time after leaving Aberdeen in 2010, but he only made 20 appearances last season as injuries disrupted his playing time.

Mulgrew told BBC Sport: "I'm happy. I want to stay, but the longer it goes on, you start to wonder if it's going to happen.

"I've spoken to the manager and he wants me to stay, which is important for me. You want to feel wanted.

"Hopefully we can come to some kind of agreement soon. There's no offer on the table yet, but I think it's moving towards that this week."

Having progressed through Celtic's youth system, Mulgrew turned professional in July 2002, but never played a game for the Glasgow side.
