Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs is reportedly looking to depart Old Trafford and take up the managerial job at Nottingham Forest instead.

Ryan Giggs is on the verge of leaving Manchester United and taking up the Nottingham Forest manager's job, according to reports.

The future of the Red Devils assistant manager at Old Trafford is in jeopardy as new boss Jose Mourinho is said to be eager on hiring long-time backroom partner Rui Faria for the role.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the bookmakers' odds on Giggs becoming Forest boss have been slashed, coming in from 33/1 to as little as 1/2.

Giggs has been part of the Man Utd setup for the last 29 years.
