Nottingham Forest are reportedly close to tying up a deal to sign Iraklis and Greece striker Apostolos Vellios in the next few days.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly hoping to tie up a move for Greece international Apostolos Vellios in the next few days.

The 24-year-old, who plays for Superleague outfit Iraklis, scored 13 goals for his side last season and has experience in English football with Everton.

According to the Nottingham Post, the Reds have agreed fee of just under £1m for Vellios and are waiting to find out if the player himself accepts the move.

Vellios has only recently signed a new contract with Iraklis following his impressive form for the club last season, which earned him his international call-up.
