Luke Shaw is expected to make his Manchester United return this weekend against Wigan Athletic following a 10-month spell on the sidelines with a broken leg.

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw will end his 10-month injury layoff this weekend when running out for the senior side, according to reports.

The England international has been out of action since last September due to a broken leg sustained in the Champions League tie away at PSV Eindhoven.

Shaw has now made a full return to training, however, and it has been widely reported that he will be included at some point in Saturday's opening pre-season friendly meeting with Wigan Athletic.

Following that clash at the DW Stadium - boss Jose Mourinho's first in charge since being named as Louis van Gaal's successor - United will head to China for a two-game tour.
