A report claims that Christian Benteke will turn down any official approach from a rival club and instead look to force his way back into Jurgen Klopp's thoughts.

Christian Benteke will reportedly reject a move away from Liverpool this summer in order to fight for a place in the side.

The Belgium international is said to be the subject of a bidding war between Crystal Palace and West Ham United, although the Reds are holding out for the £32.5m they paid to sign him from Aston Villa 12 months ago.

Benteke is still left in limbo with pre-season now underway, despite suggestions earlier this week that personal terms had finally been agreed with the Eagles.

According to The Telegraph, the 25-year-old is now hoping to force his way back into manager Jurgen Klopp's thoughts after falling down the pecking order since the German's arrival last October.

Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Danny Ings are all currently rated above Benteke, while Mario Balotelli is another who has been told to find another club by Klopp.
