Brazil boss Dunga backs his captain Neymar to reproduce his early-season form for Barcelona in Tuesday's 2018 World Cup qualification match against Peru.

Brazil boss Dunga has backed Neymar to improve on his performance in Friday's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Argentina.

The Barcelona attacker struggled to produce his best form in the all-South American affair, despite starting the season in strong form for Barcelona.

Dunga, however, is confident that his captain will improve for Tuesday's qualifier against Peru.

"Neymar played for the team. He could not show the same play he does at Barcelona but he had bursts. He didn't have time to train and in the next game he'll be better," Dunga told reporters after the 1-1 draw with Argentina.

Despite being just 23, Neymar is already Brazil's fifth-highest goalscorer of all time having netted 46 times for his country.
