Luke Donald moves into a one-shot lead ahead of the final round of the RBC Heritage as world number one Jason Day slumps down the leaderboard in round three.

England's Luke Donald will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the RBC Heritage later today thanks to a third-round score of 69 at Harbour Town Golf Links.

The former world number one has three second-place finishes at the Hilton Head course but will hope to go one better this year when he starts the final round on seven-under-par, one clear of American duo Jason Kokrak and Charley Hoffman.

Australia's Jason Day, the current top-ranked player in the world, started round three in a share of the lead but went on to shoot an eight-over-par 79, slumping down to a tie for 40th and nine shots behind Donald.

If the Englishman does go on to break his duck at Harbour Town it will be his first tournament victory in four years.
