Fiji international Leone Nakarawa will leave Glasgow Warriors in the summer, with France thought to be his most likely destination.

Glasgow Warriors have announced that Leone Nakarawa will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Fiji international has another 12 months left to run on his contract at the Scotstoun Stadium.

However, following a host of interest in the 28-year-old's services, the Warriors have granted him permission to move on early.

"Leone has attracted a lot of interest from other clubs due to the form he's been in over the last year," head coach Gregor Townsend.

"During the Rugby World Cup a lot of clubs were interested in signing him and although we were looking to retain him, we have now agreed to let Leone leave a year early."

Nakarawa is expected to join a team in France's Top 14 league.
