Thomaz Bellucci inflicts a bagel on Novak Djokovic, who responds by dropping just five more games on his way to winning in Rome.

Novak Djokovic suffered just the third bagel of his career at the hands of Thomaz Bellucci this evening, but the world number one recovered to book his place in the quarter-finals of the BNL d'Italia thanks to a 0-6 6-3 6-2 victory.

It seemed that a real shock was on the cards in Rome when Brazilian qualifier Bellucci wrapped up the first set in just 24 minutes.

Djokovic won only eight points as he failed to register at least a single game in one set for the first time since 2012.

However, the response from the Serbian was emphatic as he dropped just five more games on his way to securing a spot in the last eight.

Now, the 28-year-old will take on seven-time champion Rafael Nadal for a semi-final berth.
