Scotland lock Jonny Gray has signed a new three-year contract with the Glasgow Warriors.

The 21-year-old has extended his stay with the Pro12 side until May 2018 after helping Scotland reach the quarter-finals of the recent World Cup.

"I'm very happy to be staying at Glasgow," Gray, who has made 40 Glasgow appearances, told the club website. "It's my home club and I'm just glad I've had the opportunity to sign.

"It's been a fantastic few years' development for me. When I was younger I always had the ambition to play for Glasgow and Scotland, and playing in a Rugby World Cup has been a fantastic experience."

Gray's Scotland teammate Finn Russell also recently committed his future to the Warriors with a similar deal.
