A report says that Barcelona are ready to challenge Manchester United and Arsenal for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak's signature.

Barcelona have reportedly entered the running to sign Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

It is understood that the 26-year-old has been tracked by both Manchester United and Arsenal over recent months.

However, Barca have now sounded out Krychowiak's representatives about a move to the Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The report adds that head coach Luis Enrique is in the market for a new defence-minded midfielder to provide cover for Sergio Busquets.

It is believed that the Pole has a release clause in his Sevilla contract worth £34.5m.

Poland's midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak scores a goal during the Euro 2016 Group D qualifying football match between Poland and the Republic of Ireland at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw on October 11, 2015.
