Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez denies that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is a transfer target for the Spanish champions.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has denied that his club will pursue Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin in this summer's transfer window.

With Dani Alves set to leave Camp Nou next month, Barcelona are expected to be in the market for a new right-sided defender.

Bellerin has been strongly linked with a return to the club that he left in 2011, but Fernandez has played down suggestions that the 21-year-old is a summer transfer target for the Catalan giants.

"I haven't raised [Bellerin] at this point. He's a player who we know because he grew up here but at this time I'm not raising anything in this regard," Fernandez told Mundo Deportivo.

Bellerin has been named in the Spain squad for Euro 2016 after an injury to Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal.
