Manchester United could be without 11 first-team players for the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final away to Sevilla.

Manchester United are sweating over the fitness of a number of players ahead of the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final with Sevilla on Thursday night.

The Red Devils were in a commanding position when they scored twice inside the opening 21 minutes of the first leg against Sevilla, with Marcel Sabitzer netting a brace.

However, late own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire saw the first leg finish 2-2, with the tie delicately poised ahead of the reverse match at Estadio Ramon on Thursday.

Man United will be missing key attacker Bruno Fernandes for the trip to Seville due to the yellow card that the Portugal international picked up in the first leg of the quarter-final.

Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez, Donny van de Beek, Raphael Varane, Tom Heaton and Alejandro Garnacho are definitely out of the match due to injury problems.

Martinez and Varane were both injured in the first leg last week, with the former out for the season with a foot injury, while the latter is facing 'a few weeks' on the treatment table.

Man United are also sweating over the fitness of Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw, with the pair again missing for the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Rashford has missed the team's last two matches with a groin issue, while Shaw has been absent for the last three games with a hamstring issue that he suffered in the recent league win over Brentford.

Scott McTominay, meanwhile, is facing a battle to be fit, with a knock ruling the Scotland international out of the first leg against Sevilla and league success over Forest at the City Ground.

Man United have also since been hit by two fresh blows, with Malacia unable to take part in Sunday's Premier League game with Steve Cooper's team due to a knee issue.

"He has a sore knee and already he was struggling in the week. Today it was too bad to start," said Ten Hag to MUTV when discussing Malacia ahead of the game with Forest.

On-loan Bayern Munich midfielder Sabitzer picked up an issue during the warm-up ahead of Sunday's game, meanwhile, which has made him a doubt for the trip to Seville.

"He had a problem in the warm up," Ten Hag told MUTV. "We didn't take the risk. We already had some injuries, so we have to find out tomorrow. Hopefully, it's not a big injury. We chose not to go into the game with the risk."

Diogo Dalot played at left-back against Forest due to the absences of Shaw and Malacia, while fit-again Christian Eriksen was brought into the side as Sabitzer's replacement.

Ten Hag is expected to provide updates on the fitness of Rashford, Shaw, McTominay, Malacia and Sabitzer when he addresses the media during his pre-match press conference later this week.
