Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar is willing to take a pay cut in order to complete a move back to Barcelona this summer, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar is reportedly prepared to accept a wage cut in order to seal a move back to Barcelona this summer.

The Brazil international was linked with a sensational return to Catalonia last summer, but the cash-strapped Catalans could not fund a move, and there are thought to have been positive developments in contract talks with PSG.

However, Neymar is yet to put pen to paper on an extension beyond the summer of 2022, and Les Parisiens have reportedly given the attacker until the end of the month to make a decision.

According to Marca, Neymar would be open to a return to Barcelona if he does not sign fresh terms at PSG, and he would be willing to take a salary decrease on his €70m (£60.4m) yearly wages in order to make a move happen.

The former Barca star has frequently talked up a reunion with Lionel Messi, who is supposedly leaning towards signing a new deal at Camp Nou, but the Blaugrana's volatile financial situation could still hinder a move.

Neymar has only started 10 Ligue 1 games during an injury-hit season, and he boasts six goals and four assists in league action this term.
