England's fit-again all-rounder Ben Stokes reveals that he is relishing getting back to action on the tour of Bangladesh.

England's fit-again Ben Stokes has said that he is raring to go in England's upcoming tour of Bangladesh.

The 25-year-old all-rounder has had a summer blighted by injury, having been forced to sit out most of the Sri Lanka series and India series with knee and calf problems.

"I've had niggles that have never kept me off the park but I've bowled through those pains," Stokes told the Daily Mail.

"As a fast bowler, you have to understand you're going to go through some torture. It was a frustrating summer but I've waited until I was 25 before I got my first muscle tear which isn't too bad considering I bat, bowl, and field.

"The conditions in Bangladesh are going to be hot and muggy and we're going to need to make sure we're bowling fit and aerobically fit. Bowling in the heat on flat wickets will be tough. It normally takes you two or three days to adjust to the climate and heat."

The England squad will fly out to Bangladesh this week for a two-Test and three-ODI tour, before rounding off the year in India for a gruelling five-Test series.
