Republic of Ireland midfielder Robbie Brady has been released from the squad after suffering concussion during their World Cup qualifier with Georgia on Thursday night.
The 24-year-old was stretchered off wearing a neck brace and oxygen mask at the Aviva Stadium after being knocked unconscious in a clash of heads with Georgia defender Solomon Kvirkvelia.
The Norwich City man spent the night in hospital and will now miss the upcoming qualifier against Moldova despite being cleared by the FAI medical staff.
"Robbie Brady has been released from the squad following concussion suffered in the 1-0 win over Georgia on Thursday, October 6," read an FAI statement.
"Brady spent the night in hospital and underwent a precautionary scan, but he has been cleared by the FAI medical staff."
Manager Martin O'Neill will also be without Jeff Hendrick in Chisinau due to suspension.
