Tiger Woods to return to competitive action after 14-month absence

Tiger Woods will return to competitive action for the first time in 14 months at the Safeway Open in Napa, California next week.

Tiger Woods will return to competitive action for the first time in 14 months next week.

The PGA Tour has announced that the 40-year-old will compete in the Safeway Open in Napa, California.

Woods last featured on the Tour in August 2015, when he played in the Wyndham Championship, but since then has undergone two back operations.

In September, the 14-time Major champion claimed that he was targeting the Californian event depending on his fitness, and added that he also hopes to play in the Turkish Airlines Open next month and the Hero World Challenge in December.
