Ross Fisher tops the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship with a second-round 68 to give himself a one-shot lead heading into the weekend.

Ross Fisher has moved to the top of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship leaderboard with a second-round 68 at St Andrews.

At the halfway stage, the 35-year-old has a one-shot lead on 11-under-par after carding seven birdies, but bogeys on the 11th, 13th and 17th holes kept the rest of the field in touching distance.

On the Kingsbarns course, Joakim Lagergren put himself one shot off the pace with two birdies and an eagle on the third hole, while overnight leader Alex Noren is nine-under-par following a second-round 71.

Jbe Kruger is the closest challenger to the top three at eight-under-par.
