Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says that the club's 1-1 draw with Manchester City represents "a big victory" for his side.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has suggested that the club's 1-1 draw with Manchester City represents 'a moral victory' for his side.

Nuno named an unchanged side for a third successive match rather than adopt a more defensive formation, and Wolves deserved their point from Saturday's game with the Premier League champions.

The newly-promoted side remain without a win this season, but Nuno has hinted that the display of his players was proof that Wolves should continue to play in the same manner.

The Portuguese told BBC Sport: "We are happy. It was a good game. This is the way we must play, improving each week, let's do it again next week.

"It is a big victory for the boys today. No matter what opponent you have you should play the way you think you should play. It is our way. We don't have to prove nothing to nobody. We just have to be ourselves, the way we work together."

Wolves have now recorded two points from their three fixtures against Everton, Leicester City and Man City.
