Eddie Jones: 'England back on the road to becoming best team in the world'

Eddie Jones: 'England back on track'
England coach Eddie Jones believes that England are back on track to becoming the best team in the world, following their 25-10 win over South Africa on Saturday.

England head coach Eddie Jones has insisted that his side's win over South Africa has put them back onto the road of becoming the best team in the world.

Captain Owen Farrell kicked six penalties as England beat the Springboks 25-10 on Saturday to end their five-Test losing streak.

England dominated in the second half, eventually winning the game by a 15-point margin, and Jones was full of praise for his side's performance.

"It is a great reward for the players - I have been consistent in saying that our efforts have been outstanding but we have lacked a bit of emotional control and played some big moments poorly," Jones told Sky Sports News.

"Today we were able to control those big moments really well and won the game conclusively. The emotional control and the way we stuck to a tactical plan please me - in other games we got seduced by the scoreboard a little bit but today we stuck at it and it is a great result for us.

"It's never a dead rubber - England had never won at Newlands before so these guys will remember that. We want to be the world's best team and we're back on the road again. I thought Jonny May was outstanding - I think he has been the class winger all series. I thought Tom Curry did well too - he has probably played more Tests now than he has Premiership games."

England will face South Africa once again at Twickenham on November 3.
