Defender Conor Coady says that Wolverhampton Wanderers deserved their 1-1 draw with Manchester City in Saturday's Premier League clash at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has said that the club's 1-1 draw with Manchester City was "a fair result".

The newly-promoted side took the lead when Willy Boly bundled the ball into the net with his hand, but Aymeric Laporte soon equalised for the Premier League champions.

City hit the woodwork on three occasions during the match at Molineux, but Coady feels that Wolves were full value for their point in the West Midlands.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "That is what we have got to do in this division. We have to play like that, we have to play well.

"They are a fantastic side, they move the ball fantastically well, but we stuck to what we wanted to do and showed that we can play. We had a few chances as well, but I think that a draw was a fair result."

Wolves have now picked up two points from their opening three fixtures, while City go top of the standings ahead of the rest of the weekend's fixtures.
