Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says that the uncertainty surrounding his future will disappear if the team win their next two matches.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has claimed that the uncertainty surrounding his future with the Potters will disappear if the team win their next two matches against Burnley and West Ham United.

Stoke suffered a 5-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon, and Hughes admitted after the match that he was under pressure amid a disappointing run of form.

The Welshman, however, has said that the picture at the bet365 Stadium will change if they manage to pick up six points from their next two fixtures against Burnley and West Ham.

"We are all of the view that we want to do something about the performance on Saturday and hope to do that on Tuesday," Hughes told reporters.

"For the most part there has been pressure around us all season. We will deal with it. If we win the next two games we could be in the top half. Pressure disappears by winning games."

Stoke have won just once in the league since the end of October, with that run of form leaving them down in 15th position in the Premier League table.
