Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Roma could line up for Wednesday's Europa League final against Sevilla.

Wednesday's Europa League final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest will see Roma battle competition specialists Sevilla for the right to lift the trophy, and several players have returned to the fold with consummate timing.

After Chris Smalling completed his comeback from another layoff earlier this month, both Paulo Dybala and Leonardo Spinazzola have featured in training at Trigoria this week.

The latter has finally overcome an ankle injury and should be fit enough to at least appear from the bench if required; meanwhile, wing-back Spinazzola returns from a muscular problem and may even be ready to start.

Only long-term injury victim Marash Kumbulla remains ruled out, so head coach Jose Mourinho can recall a number of integral cogs in the Giallorossi machine that were rested in Saturday's defeat to Fiorentina.

First-choice goalkeeper Rui Patricio and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini did not take part at Stadio Artemio Franchi, but both should join midfield pair Nemanja Matic and Bryan Cristante in returning to face Sevilla.

Up front, Tammy Abraham and Andrea Belotti have recently been rotated - neither has been in form this season - but they could even be paired should Mourinho plump for a 3-5-2 setup in midweek; otherwise, Stephan El Shaarawy is likely to start before making way for Dybala during the second half.

Spinazzola will compete with Zeki Celik and Nicola Zalewski for selection on either flank, with young Filippo Missori demoted to the bench. Semi-final hero Edoardo Bove is not certain of a start either.

Roma possible starting lineup: Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Celik, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Pellegrini, El Shaarawy; Abraham
