Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry, 33, puts pen to paper on a new one-year deal at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry has signed a new one-year deal at Loftus Road, the club have confirmed.

The 33-year-old, whose contract was due to expire this summer, joined the West London club in 2013 and made 39 appearances last season as the team finished 12th in the Championship.

"Karl is a fantastic professional and has shown a first-class attitude in my time here," QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the club's website.

"He is an experienced player and a leader on and off the pitch for us. He leads by example with his application and commitment."

Henry began his career at Stoke City and has also played for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
