Forward Cristiano Ronaldo says that Portugal must continue to believe that they can succeed at Euro 2016 after being held to a goalless draw by Austria.

Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that his nation's luck will change at Euro 2016 after they were held to a draw for the second successive match.

After Iceland earned a share of the spoils on Wednesday, Portugal squandered numerous chances against Austria on Saturday night to leave his team requiring a win from their final fixture with Hungary to reach the last 16.

The 31-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "The players, we need to think that it's still possible. If we win [against Hungary], we qualify. And also the Portuguese people, the fans who love Portugal, they also have to believe in it.

"The bad won't last forever, so we need to believe that things will go better."

Portugal have never failed to progress through to the knockout stages at a European Championship.
