AC Milan will not pursue a permanent move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot this summer, according to a report.

AC Milan have reportedly decided not to pursue a permanent move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot during this summer's transfer window.

The Portuguese has spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at San Siro, scoring twice and providing three assists in 32 appearances for the Italian side in all competitions.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding the right-back in recent weeks, with Milan thought to be keen on a permanent deal in the upcoming market.

However, according to Sky Italia journalist Emanuele Baiocchini, the Serie A giants have decided not to enter into discussions after being informed of Man United's asking price.

Baiocchini claims that the 20-time English champions want €20m (£17.3m) for Dalot, which Milan are not prepared to pay in the current financial climate.

Roma and Napoli are both said to be keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding a player who has made 35 appearances for Man United since arriving from Porto in 2018.
