Liverpool may reportedly consider making a loan bid for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool may reportedly renew their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni during the summer transfer window.

Having impressed at Monaco, Tchouameni was wanted by a number of top European clubs in 2022, including multiple teams from the Premier League.

Liverpool featured on that list, but the France international made the decision to complete a move to Real in a deal which could eventually reach €100m.

The 23-year-old has earned regular game time at the Santiago Bernabeu, making a total of 28 starts and 14 substitute appearances in all competitions.

Given the amount of money that was paid for Tchouameni, Real will want to see him continue to frequently accumulate time on the pitch over the coming years.

However, if reports are to be believed, Los Blancos are likely to have Jude Bellingham as a further midfield option for 2023-24, the England international a near certainty to command a senior role in the centre of the pitch.

Furthermore, new contracts are being agreed with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, and there is a scenario where Tchouameni could soon be regarded as fifth in the pecking order.

According to 90min, Liverpool are monitoring the situation ahead of potentially renewing their interest in the player.

The report suggests that the Merseyside outfit may look to secure a season-long loan deal to help boost their midfield for the next campaign.

Liverpool are expected to lose three players in that area of the pitch on free transfers with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner all being linked with exits at the end of their contracts.

Jurgen Klopp had been in the market for Bellingham before a collective decision was allegedly made regarding an unwillingness to meet Borussia Dortmund's valuation.

Nevertheless, paying a loan fee for Tchouameni may suit Liverpool in the short term if they are able to convince Real to allow their club record signing to develop elsewhere.

As it stands, it is claimed that Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez - the manager and president respectively - have no intention of giving the green light to any deal.
