Jose Mourinho's son has signed a two-year scholarship deal with Championship side Fulham.

Jose Mourinho Jr, a goalkeeper by trade, has played for a number of youth teams at clubs that his father has managed, including Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Rather than joining him at Old Trafford, however, the 16-year-old has decided to stay with the Cottagers, for whom he has played in their academy.

Mourinho Jr confirmed the deal on his personal Twitter account.

Fulham begin their Championship campaign against Newcastle United on Friday August 5 at Craven Cottage.

Barcelona's players celebrate during the Spanish league 'Clasico' football match Real Madrid CF vs FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid on November 21, 2015.
