Karamoko Dembele appears to have chosen England over Scotland for his long-term development, having represented the Three Lions at Under-15s level this week.

Celtic youth star Karamoko Dembele has made his first appearance as an England player, just a month after representing Scotland in the Victory Shield.

The 13-year-old was fast-tracked by Scottish Football Association chiefs into the Under-16s side for the annual tournament, having made headlines earlier this season when playing for the Bhoys' development team against Hearts Under-20s.

England officials were quick to pounce, however, and Dembele played a part in the Under-15s' 5-3 win over their Turkey counterparts at St George's Park on Monday afternoon.

Dembele, already linked with a move to Manchester City, was granted permission to play for England due to the fact that he was born in the country.
