Celtic teenage playmaker Karamoko Dembele is named in Scotland's Under-16s squad, which will contest the Victory Shield.

Celtic's 13-year-old playmaker Karamoko Dembele has been called up to Scotland's Under-16s Victory Shield squad.

The teenager made headlines this month when he made his debut for the Scottish champions' development team, playing nine minutes against Hearts Under-20s.

According to Sky Sports News, Dembele is being fast-tracked by SFA chiefs as the football associations of Ivory Coast, where his family originate, and England, his birthplace, are said to also be keeping tabs on his progress and development.

The Scottish youngsters will play Northern Ireland on October 30, then Wales on November 1 before their final game against the Republic of Ireland on November 4.
