The FA announces details of a friendly between England and Germany in Dortmund for March 2017.

England will face Germany in a friendly in Dortmund next March, the Football Association has announced.

The clash at Signal Iduna Park on March 22 will come almost a year to the day after the Three Lions grabbed a memorable 3-2 friendly victory over Joachim Low's side in Berlin.

The game could be the first match in charge for England's new permanent manager, with Gareth Southgate's interim reign due to come to a close after two further games next month.

Die Mannschaft currently have the advantage in the head-to-head record between the two long-standing rival nations, with 14 victories in all competitions compared to England's 13.

After the encounter in Germany, England will return home to face Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley on March 26.
