Olivier Giroud challenges UFC star Conor McGregor to cage fight

Olivier Giroud jokingly offers to fight UFC champion Conor McGregor, but concedes that he would probably last just 10 seconds before tasting defeat.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has offered to take on UFC champion Conor McGregor in a fight, before admitting that he would probably 'last for just 10 seconds'.

The Frenchman, who is on verge of returning to action for the Gunners following a recent layoff, was answering questions with teammate Laurent Koscielny for the club's YouTube channel when the topic of UFC came up.

Koscielny questioned whether his countryman would even last as long as 10 seconds, with Giroud quickly adding: "I have never been in a cage fighting UFC but it would be nice to try."

Giroud then turned to the camera and jokingly offered out the Irishman, saying: 'So McGregor, when you want?', which was followed up by a cheeky wink.

McGregor was recently fined $150,000 (£121,000) and handed 50 hours of community service after confronting Nate Diaz in a press conference.
