Scotland manager Gordon Strachan will reportedly remain in charge of the team for next month's World Cup qualifier against England amid speculation over his future.

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan will remain in charge of the team for next month's World Cup qualifier against England, according to reports.

Speculation has surfaced regarding the future of the 59-year-old following his side's poor start to the qualifying campaign, which has seen them pick up just four points from their opening three games.

Scotland's hopes of ending their 20-year wait to reach a World Cup suffered a major blow with a 3-0 loss at the hands of Slovakia on Tuesday, following on from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Lithuania.

Both the SFA and Strachan himself were thought to be considering whether to part ways, but numerous reports now suggest that the former Celtic boss will remain in charge of the national team until at least next month.

Scotland will take on England at Wembley on November 11 knowing that victory would take them level on points with Gareth Southgate's side.
