England captain Dylan Hartley says that he is "really proud" of his teammates after they earned a 3-0 whitewash over Australia in their Test series Down Under.

Dylan Hartley has claimed that he is "really proud" of his England teammates after they sealed a 3-0 series whitewash over Australia in Sydney on Saturday.

The Red Rose earned a 44-40 triumph at the Allianz Arena in their third Test of the campaign.

England made history last weekend by claiming their first-ever series win Down Under, and they continue to be unbeaten under head coach Eddie Jones.

"We are very happy with the tour," Hartley told Sky Sports News. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to come out today and play the perfect game. I think we can all agree that it was not our perfect game but we put everything into it.

"It was our last 80 minutes of thee season and I am really proud of the guys. We made some history and I am really proud today. There is still a lot to work on, we will enjoy this though."

Jones took over from Stuart Lancaster last year following England's failed World Cup campaign.
