Manchester United's Chris Smalling suffers head injury while on holiday in Bali?

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling reportedly suffers injuries while surfing in Bali on holiday.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering injuries while on holiday in Bali.

The 26-year-old is believed to have jetted to the island after England's humiliating Euro 2016 exit at the hands of Iceland in the last-16 stage.

Images of Smalling laying on a hospital bed wearing a neck brace and bandages around his head and left wrist have been circulating on social media, but the severity of the injuries are unclear.

In the picture, the centre-back, who is rumoured to have hurt himself while surfing, is signing his autograph on a United shirt.

Smalling's injuries, which have not been confirmed, could put him in doubt for the start of pre-season training, which gets underway this month.
