Breno: "I cried a lot" in prison

Former Bayern Munich defender Breno admits that he "cried a lot" in prison.

Former Bayern Munich defender Breno has revealed details about his life in prison for the first time.

The 24-year-old, who was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison for arson after setting his house on fire while under the influence of alcohol, is currently on day release and is part of the German club's youth team's coaching staff.

"I cried a lot, when I received the first letters from wife and saw the pictures of the kids," he told TV Globo. "I went to the bathroom, so my prison cell neighbour could not see my tears."

Breno added that he saw "inmates who tried to commit suicide" and promised that he would never do "anything crazy" again.

It has been reported in the German media that Breno could be fully released in March or April of next year.
