This year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has got underway in Wales ahead of tomorrow night's launch episode.

Five of the famous faces - AJ Pritchard, Beverley Callard, Sir Mo Farah, Shane Richie and Hollie Arnold - met each other for the first time at the bottom of a cliff in Snowdonia, while the other five - Vernon Kay, Jessica Plummer, Jordan North, Giovanna Fletcher and Victoria Derbyshire - were deposited at the top of the same cliff.

For their first challenge, the celebs at the top of the cliff had to abseil down to join those at the bottom - answering puzzles en route in order to unlock their personal rucksacks.

Later the group were shocked when they moved into Gwrych Castle, their home for the next few weeks, and discovered just how tough an experience it was set to be.

"I've never seen a more... basic is putting it nicely... horrific bathroom," said Radio 1 DJ North, while Derbyshire noted that her bed was "as hard as nails".

Corrie legend Callard was also unimpressed, remarking: "The washroom. First of all it's minging. It needs a really good clean. Well I'm sorry but no... my hair. I'll look like I've had Donald Trump's hairdresser."

The celebs also took on their first trial to win meals, 'The Gates To Hell', which saw all 10 of them locked in cages and pass stars to one another while being pelted with crickets and cockroaches.

The launch show of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday night at 9pm on ITV.
