Besiktas plot Xherdan Shaqiri move?

Stoke City playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly wanted by Turkish club Besiktas to replace Gokhan Tore.

Besiktas have reportedly contacted Stoke City regarding a summer move for Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Turkish club are believed to be in the market for a new playmaker, with Gokhan Tore expected to leave the club.

According to Fotomac, Stoke's Switzerland international is the player that head coach Senol Gunes has decided fits the bill.

The report adds that Besiktas are hoping their place in the Champions League will help to convince Shaqiri to make the transfer.

The 24-year-old scored three goals from his 27 starts for the Potters last season.
