Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is reportedly ready to depart the Eredivisie champions to move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Arne Slot has reportedly made the decision to leave Feyenoord for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 44-year-old is currently nearing the end of his second season with the Dutch club, transforming them from the third or fourth best team in the country to outlasting the likes of PSV Eindhoven and Ajax in 2022-23.

On the back of reaching last year's Europa Conference League final, Feyenoord have won this season's Eredivisie at a canter, sitting 10 points clear with one match remaining.

A recent 13-match winning streak has led to more admirers emerging, and Spurs have recently been heavily linked with an approach for Slot.

While the Premier League outfit have been credited with an interest in a wide array of names, it has been claimed in recent days that Slot has become the clear frontrunner.

According to De Telegraaf, Slot has indicated that he wishes to make the switch to the North Londoners at the end of the campaign.

Agent Rafaela Pimenta has allegedly informed Spurs that Slot is ready to accept a proposal to become the permanent replacement to Antonio Conte, who left in March.

Spurs will be required to pay £6m in compensation to Feyenoord, whose general manager Dennis te Kloese has acknowledged that they are eager to retain Slot's services.

Feyenoord conclude their season on May 28 when they play host to Vitesse, and further developments could take place before that contest with the game effectively a dead-rubber.

Should Slot work outside of his homeland for the first time in his career, he may spent his first year at Spurs without any European football.

Successive defeats to Aston Villa and Brentford have left Spurs one point adrift of the former, who are seventh in the Premier League standings, and only Europa Conference League football is still a possibility.

Spurs must either draw with Leeds United and hope that Villa lose to Brighton & Hove Albion, or beat the Yorkshire giants and hope that their continental rivals fail to overcome the Seagulls on home territory.

Although sitting in eighth in the table, Spurs possess the sixth-worst defensive record in the division having conceded 62 goals in 37 matches.
