Sheffield Wednesday announce that they have completed the signing of former Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher.

Sheffield Wednesday have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of striker Steven Fletcher.

Fletcher had been available on a free transfer after his release from Sunderland but the Owls have announced that the Scottish international has made the move to Hillsborough.

The 29-year-old - who scored 23 times in four years at the Stadium of Light - has signed a deal with Wednesday that will run until 2020.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers frontman ended last season on loan at Marseille, where he scored twice in 14 appearances.
