West Ham United reportedly turn down a fresh approach from Chelsea for midfielder Declan Rice, who is valued at £150m.

West Ham United have reportedly turned down a fresh approach from Chelsea for midfielder Declan Rice.

The 23-year-old's long-term future at the London Stadium has been the subject of much speculation for several months, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City believed to be closely monitoring his situation.

The Blues have had a long-standing interest in Rice, and 90min claims that they have recently seen a new approach for the England international rebuffed by West Ham.

The report adds that Chelsea's new billionaire owner Todd Boehly requested for club representatives to make contact with West Ham's majority shareholder David Sullivan to discuss a proposed deal for Rice.

Furthermore, the Blues may return with another approach for Rice and will consider offering Armando Broja and Ross Barkley in part exchange, the former of whom is believed to be one of David Moyes's primary striker targets this summer.

West Ham are desperate to keep hold of Rice – who has made 192 appearances since his Hammers debut in 2017 – and they will not entertain offers below his £150m valuation.

The midfielder, however, is believed to be considering his options and is understood to have turned down multiple offers to extend his contract at the London Stadium – which is due to expire in 2024 – including an eight-year contract offer which was presented to him last month.
