Victor Lindelof says that he will consider his future at Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.

Victor Lindelof has conceded that he could seek a move away from Manchester United during this summer's transfer window due to his struggles for regular action.

The 28-year-old has featured on 21 occasions at club level during the 2022-23 campaign, but only nine of those have come in the Premier League, with the Sweden international dropping down the pecking order.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are regarded as Man United's first-choice centre-back pairing, while it could be argued that both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are also ahead of Lindelof in terms of Erik ten Hag's thinking for the spots in the middle of the defence.

Maguire continues to be linked with a summer exit, while Lindelof is also being linked with a move, with Inter Milan said to be keen to secure his signature, having failed with a January approach.

Lindelof is currently with the Sweden squad preparing for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualification matches against Belgium and Azerbaijan.

The defender, speaking during a press conference, has admitted that he will consider his Man United future this summer, as he is not happy being a bit-part player at Old Trafford.

"Of course like every player, you want to play every game and obviously I haven't done that this season," Lindelof told reporters on Thursday.

"But like I always say when I come here [international duty], it's a pleasure to be here and I'm always happy to represent my country.

"I'm really looking forward to the games that we have and I spoke to Janne Andersson [Sweden's manager] before to say I was really looking forward to coming here and to perform, and to be on the pitch with the guys again.

"Like I said, I want to play, that's why I play football, I want to play games, but I haven't thought about that [transfer away], right now I'm just focusing on the national team and then of course, the rest of the season with the club. Then in the summer we'll re-evaluate and see what is best."

Lindelof has only started once for Man United in the Premier League since the start of January, while he has not even been in the squad for the team's last two league fixtures against Liverpool and Southampton.

The Swede, who is also thought to be of interest to Atletico Madrid, moved to Old Trafford from Benfica in July 2017, and he has represented the club on 217 occasions in all competitions.

Lindelof's current deal with Man United is due to run until June 2024, but there is the option to extend the agreement for a further 12 months.
